CAPTAIN EPHRAIM CARTER died May 19, 1798 age 55 He was a comfort & staff to aged Parents, a guide to Children, a faithful and affectionate Consort, a Patron & Lover of Free Masonry, & a constant Benefactor to the Poor. Animated with public Spirit, he promoted the good of society and in his numerous private and public employments, acted with strict integrity He was a sincere Christian & his memory shall long be cherished.
