Stone Type
granite
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A border that varies in width covers the stone. Thicker over the curve of the tympanum, it thins out in the tablet section. The tympanum includes another two-line border underneath the outer one, with the entire image section having its own two-line border. It is not completed along the bottom edge which allowed the sprig of a plant to rise from the middle. Either side of the tablet section are illustrated panels containing abstract images that have traditionally been leaves and stems or waves.
Remark
The tympanum has a rounder face as the point at the bottom of other period stones become more rounded. The facial details are refined to very basic shapes with two deep holes for the eye sockets. To either side are six leaf stars in their own circles.
