Here lies interred ye Body of Mr. ICHABOD JONES who belonged to Marlboro. died with ye Small-Pox May ye 14th Anno D. 1778 in ye 43d Year of his Age.

Within this silent Grave is laid: a worthy man, who always made, Virtue his chief Regard: Uptright and just, in all his ways, Will death cut shor his hopeful Days: To Reap ye great Reward.

Two line border around circumference of entire stone. Tympanum and table sections both employ other decorations as borders. The tympanum incorporates a four line border under the face/wings. Two of those lines are thin and the middle one thick.
