Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation, memento mori
Border
A simple two line border goes over the tympanum and the shoulders and then down the sides. Two side panels border the tablet and shoulders. The panels are capped by a six sided star-like design. Below the stars are a series of design including on one side the remains of a heart.
Remark
The tympanum is topped, beneath the border, by a Memento Mori banner to the left and right of the head. The face is quite round but includes a very noticeable chin that sticks out. They eyes are basic but are eye shaped as opposed to circles. There are single line eyebrows, a nose defined by an indent, and a small mouth. The hair is particularly interesting as it is clearly meant to impart that it was curly but it rest on the top of the circle of the face like a hat. The wings are very detailed on this stone and take up the remaining space. There are two parts to their depiction. Each "feather" begins as a series of nodes that then transform into a long banner-like feather and is shaped like they are arced.
