Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
Surrounding this stone's circumference, is a four line border segmented into two equal medium width lines and one inner thinner line. There is also a thin engraved line between the tympanum and tablet.
Remark
The main focus of the tympanum is on a round face that is JUST beginning to be reshaped. The eyes are very expressive and the entire face resembles an effective cartoon upset sun/old man/etc. The bulbous nose, wig, and the simplicity all point to an early design. And his disapproving look is not a forgiving one. The wings are better detailed. No quill but very segmented. There is a lost piece of the stone below the wings.
Physical Status
straight less_than_20_degrees
