In Memory of Sarah
Bowker Daugh_tr to Mr.
Silas Bowker & Mrs.
Bethiah his wife She
Died Aug_st y_e 16th
(year is on the next line but has been buried below ground level)
This stone has a two line medium width border that flows from the tympanum over the shoulders and down the sides.
There is an additional side border in place of the typical side panels. It curves over the stone's shoulders and continues down the stone. As we are unable to see the bottom of the stone below ground, we are not able to discuss their termination.
Remark
The tympanum has lost the apex of the dome due to time.
But, to the side of the breaks, we can see the lozenge-like hair representation. The aging the stone has undergone has increased the otherworldly appearance of this carving.
