In Memory of Mr.

who died March 1st, 1790 in the 25th Year of his Age.
In youth was I cut down,
And here in dust do I lie
Young people all prepare for death
As You Must Shoerly Die
- Surveyed On
- October 7, 2015
- Stone Type
- slate
- Tympanum
- face with ornamentation
- Border
- There is a wide two line plain border over the tympanum. At the stone's shoulders, it decreases in width by a half and proceeds down the sides.
The tablet with information is only half the stone's current height and is bordered by a single line. It is only wide enough for the information and two illustrated side panels.
Then the bottom half has a wider single line bordered box with the poem where the side panels do not reach.
- Remark
- The bas relief tympanum design presents a simplified human face atop a bird's body and wings. All the elements are minimally developed with only limited marks for identification.
The short illustrated side panels are simplified cascading imagery, again with minimal lines to express their purpose.
- Physical Status
- straight less_than_20_degrees
- Intelligibility
- readable
