Stone Type
granite
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A thick two line border arches over the tympanum like a wide horseshoe. The side panels have an outside border shaped like a shepherd's crux, which rests at the stone's shoulders, and an inside border is formed by the tablet. This stone shows appreciable erosion which affects detail clarity.
Remark
This tympanum exhibits a central face surrounded by a bi-radial display of images. These images are set off in an arch beneath the outer border and separated from the face by a blank space. The are arranged in mirror image. The face is worn but shows a central nose/eyebrow structure along with detail around the eyes. The mouth is faintly hinted at. The side panels illustrate a plant growing tall.
