- Stone Type
- granite
- Tympanum
- face with ornamentation
- Border
- A two line medium width border runs along the dome of the tympanum. At the stone's shoulders, it reduces its width by half, hops over the shoulders and proceeds down each side.
The bas relief tympanum image is bas-relief and occupies its own space.
The tablet section is bordered on each side by illustrated panels. Unfortunately, erosion and time have reduced these areas of the stone to make parts of them illegible.
- Remark
- The tympanum is filled with a winged face image. The face appears to be from a middle-to-later period since it is more humanistic than the earlier round faces. The hair on his head is curly and his neck ruff balances the image.
The nose, chin, mouth and eyes are also more realistic.
The wings display unusually thin, long feathers almost draped down. The wings appear attached to the face just behind the ears.
