Border
Delivering an almost rainbow-like effect, three bands arch over the central tympanic imagery. Possibly, there was another thing two line border over this too. We see hints of this border to the outside and inside edge of the two illustrated side panels. On the inside and bottom edge, these borders performs more with the tablet instead of the side panels. There is also an elaborate border between the tympanum and the tablet which further utilizes imagery from the tympanum.
Remark
The tympanic imagery is extensive. There is a clearly female face with a shawl (of someone who we know is a long time community resident) and at least three levels of arches protecting her. The bas-relief of her representation includes significant large shoulders and shawl clasp. Her eyes are feminine, there is only a hint of hair and no expression on her face. The arches above her continue onto the border between the tympanum and the tablet. Within this border they become horizontal and rounded. The innermost arch becomes a lower protection and also assumes the rounded, wave-like appearance. The side panels are helixes of a banner and a representation that could be either corn or grapes. A background of horizontal lines has been applied.
