skull
Border
There is thin, two line border framing the circumference of this stone. This also include a border between the tympanum and the tablet. There are illustrated panels on three sides of the tablet section.
Remark
Damage to the stone either prior to its installation within the granite frame or before. It was minor and we still can see many details. The tympanum contains a large early rendition skull. The eye sockets are oral, the nasal cavity is triangular, and the teeth take up the entire lower section of the skull. The wings, which are basically drawn without details, fill the remainder of the frame. The illustrated panels are all filled with the cascading imagery which here is more aquatic than other more floral accents. The panels have three specific locus points; two at the top of the left and right columns and one in the center of the bottom panel.
