Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A simple two line, thin width border runs the circumference of this stone. The tablet section also uses a four line, three border to encapsulate it.
Remark
The tympanum has three specific design elements; arch, face and wings. The arch is umbrella-like and sharply defined. The face is youthful and appears a middle period rendition. The cheeks, chin, nose and eyes reinforce that interpretation, although the figure is gender-less. The wings are significant in proportion and done with a minimal of detail again supporting the middle period nature of the rendition. The are half circle at each of the stone's shoulders. It seems they appear like small arches (from the tympanum).
