Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation, memento mori
Border
A thin, two line border runs along the circumference of this stone. Three sides of the tablet section are further bordered by illustrated panels. The growing plants are specifically positioned so that the flower tops the two side columns and the roots of the plant are found in the center of the bottom panel.
Remark
The tympanum utilizes five design elements. The arch at the top is serrated and blank but still performs the same function. The Memento Mori banner is highlighted in this design with larger type and more central positioning. The face is later middle period with very evolved human features. The wings are very detailed with two types of feathers; long, multisegment ones and small scale-like ones closer to the neck and along the wing's lead edge. There are also two larger detailed flowers to the left and right of the figure.
