Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A triple border is present over the tympanum's dome. The center border is the thickest with the outer border being just a bit less thin and the innermost band the thinnest. The center border becomes the bottom boundary of the tympanum, the cover over the stone's shoulders and the outside border to the tablet section.
Remark
The tympanum has a winged head take up the entire space. The shape of the head is particularly odd in that it appears to be a rounded, octagonal shape. This bewigged figure has well developed human features and a odd line for his mouth. His wings are highly detailed with long flowing feathers in the after portions and smaller, scale-like feathers closer to the face.
