Stone Type
granite
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A thin, two line border hugs the circumference of this stone. The interior design is divided into two sections. Here, the tympanum design extends into the two illustrated side panels. The tablet claims the other section.
Remark
The tympanum has three design elements. The two grape vines on either side of the tablet begin in the middle of the bottom of the stone with a six-armed star. They proceed up the sides in a regular undulating pattern, past the stone's shoulders, reaching to the top of the space where they become intertwined. Below this, an abstract arch protects the human face. The face is abstract, oval, non-emotional, with heavy lidded eyes.
