Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
urn, willow tree
Border
There is a two line, medium thick border around this stone's circumference. The tympanum and tablet section are continuous, separated by layers of etchings.
Remark
From the tympanum down, there are five layers on the top of the plaque. The tympanum has a four branch willow tree over the urn. The background of this scene is a highly developed sawtooth pattern which extends all the way down to the stone's bottom. It is very intricate and gives extra depth to the images in front of it. Underneath the tree and urn, There is a sarcophagus with multiple levels. The first four (1-4) form the top of the sarcophagus. The next five (5-9) levels would appear to be the main storage. Levels 10 through 14 form the bier that holds the sarcophagus. Levels 15 to 17 are the floor/border between the tympanum and the tablet section. Of particular interest are levels 8 and 11. The looped circles on 8 are repeated along the vertical axis in the tablet section. The design in level 11 has an almost Egyptian motif. The plaque has three frames. The outer simple two line, thin width runs along the plaque's circumference. Inside of that frame, the corners have a similar repeated sawtooth image except it's turn on its side. In the middle between the corners, there is a blank space. There are three levels on the very bottom followed by a big blank space.
