Border
There is a two-line border around the circumference of this four-person memorial. Four panels are used to provide the stories of the deceased. The two upper panels contain a three-line border that becomes a double border on the top and, on the outer sides, a beveled edge. The additional information about the two children runs across the two memorials along a common bottom panel. At the top corners, the two-lines become an inward-facing crook.
Remark
The tympanum includes four design elements. At the apex of the arch is a sideways-oriented hourglass. Below it, on top of each memorial, are winged faces which both have realistic facial features as befits the later 1700s. The one on the left has their hair parted in the middle which traditionally implies a male. The one on the right has their hair pulled back which traditionally implies a female.
