HERE LYES Y_e BODY OF M_RS HANNAH STUREVANT AGED ABOVE 64 YEARS DEC._D IN MARCH 1708/9

Surveyed On
September 1, 2015
Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
skull
Border
Some of the original stone was lost either prior to its installation into the granite frame or during. A thin width, two line border extends all the way around this stone. Two illustrated side panels sit to the left and right of the tablet section. At the top of each one is a circle with a blooming flower at its center. Below them are three whirlpool designs facing alternating directions.
Remark
The tympanum's skull is full size so that it fills the height of the space. The oval eyes, triangular nasal cavity and disproportional teeth display make this appear as a late middle period. The single quill, multi-segment wings fill the rest of the space.

straight less_than_20_degrees
Intelligibility
readable
