Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
There is a thin width, two line border over the top of the tympanum which morphs into a plant when it reaches the base. The plant turns inward and stops underneath the winged face. The tablet section design puts the gabled tablet in a structure between two stone columns. The columns are multi-segmented. On top of each stone column, there is plant and a seed facing inward. The tablet is bas-relief with the second, interior border set into negative space.
Remark
The tympanum has sustained damage over the ages. The top section delaminated and is missing. Yet, we can still make out some of the details. There was an arch over it all but now only the tips are visible. The face is a late period rendition with very detailed human features. The wings are tab-type of varying lengths.
