Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
There are several layers along the top of the tympanum. The first layer is an irregular shaped arch which is thin at the top and thick along the bottom. The next layer is thicker and appears to have Memento Mori imprinted in the center. There are two side panels. At the top of each is a six armed star design. Down the length of each side is an horizontally undulating line of four layers.
Remark
The erosion on the stone make details difficult to discern. But the face appears to be in the transition from circles to a more humanistic shape. There are eyes with pupils and a chin. The hair must be a wig or he possessed very curly hair. To the left and right of the face are banners (more than wings) with lots of little circles in the space before the banners (of which there are four).
