face with ornamentation
Border
A wide, two line border traverses the dome of the tympanum and blends right into the tablet. There is an etched line from the stone's shoulders and down the tablet's sides.
Remark
The winged face seems to be heading right for the viewer. The design cures relate to the old judge figure coupled with the high forehead trend. His face is pudgy but humanistic in its depictions. His facial features are all deeply cut and focused. The wings use two kind of feathers; a single short feather closer to the head and a longer flowing feather farther out.
