Stone Type
sandstone
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
Despite the loss of 50% of the border over the dome of the tympanum, we can surmise from the remainder that it was made up of the curls made to resemble leaves. The border becomes thinner of the stone's shoulders and proceeds down the side.
Remark
There has been enough damage to this stone that some details are lost or obscured. About 40% of the tympanum has been lost. Remaining details show a late period face with greater humanistic representation. The chin and cheeks are under a very evolved eye. The hair is a later rendition of the lozenge like pass of curls from earlier generations. The wings are single quill, multi-segment type. The background is a multi-point design. The tablet was more bas-relief but has been worn down at points. Originally it was a two line, thin width with a sharp line that slightly elevates to the tablet's face for the bas-relief.
