face (male), memento mori
Border
The outer border is two line, medium thick until it passes the stone's shoulders. At that point it thins out and continues down the side.
Remark
The tympanum begins with a two line, thick border inscribed with "Memento Mori." The central image is of a woman with wings. It is an early late period rendition. The lower face and neck are realistically rendered. The hair clearly is an antecedent of the earlier lozenge-like designs. The wings come from behind and utilize two different feathers. The shorter and wider feathers are closer to the wing's lead edge, while the longer more flowing feathers lie beyond.
