- Stone Type
- slate
- Tympanum
- face with ornamentation, memento mori
- Border
- There is a two line, thin width border around the circumference of this stone.
Two illustrated side panels flank the tablet section. Each of them is topped by a six sided leaf/star and then down the panels' length are illustrations of undulating rounded shapes ooze down.
- Remark
- The tympanum's central image is a winged face. Above the face along the very top of the space is a banner with Memento Mori inscribed.
This facial image seems from a middle period. The skull shapes has changed into a more detailed one that permits a more realistic rendering. The eyes are comprised of two components, the hair is formed into a lozenge shape with stray hairs depicted.
The wings appeared attached at the back and not the neck as is sometimes portrayed. The shorter, rounder feathers inhabit the lead edge of the wings with the longer more flowing feathers form the trailing edge.
