Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
The beveled edge of the stone co-exists with the thin single line around the stone's circumference to provide a coherent border. The gabled tablet section is presented in bas-relief plaque with two line, thin width border line in the negative space.
Remark
The tympanum has three design elements. The arch is small but sits on top. The face is an odd oval shape which is completed by the proportions of this stone. The rest of the details are era appropriate (i.e. pulled back hair, cheeks, chin, emotionless eyes and mouth, and tab-like wings). There are two sprigs of plants at either far corner.
