Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
skull
Border
A two-line border encircles the entire stone. Both the tympanum and tablet section are delineated with a single line. There are illustrated panels around three sides of the tablet. The flower is in the upper corners and the stems abstractly form along the sides. They join in the middle of the bottom panel.
Remark
The tympanum is clearly a later period design. The flourishes to the traditional upper image of the heavens are beautiful with a pinwheel design (like in the two upper corners) accentuated by abstract waves. The skull is a refined lightbulb shape. Oval eye sockets and a triangular nasal cavity are supported by cleanly designed teeth and even evidence of a snarling lip. The wings on either side have five structural levels.
