Stone Type
slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A two line, thick width border covers the dome of the tympanum. Its width reduces by approximately 50% as it traverses the stone's shoulders. There are illustrated side panels on the left and right of the tablet section. Due to the loss below ground of the bottom half of the stone we only have the top half about which to comment. Each panel is topped by an off-axis six point star in a circle. A single line snakes down the panel towards the bottom. An abstract (like a seed and plant germinated) follows the line.
Remark
The tympanum centers on the head. His youth dictated that his hair was depicted as curly. The shape of the face shows the evolution from circle to more realistic proportions. At the far corners, we see how the multipoint starlite sky is evolving to curtains on a stage.
