slate
Tympanum
face with ornamentation
Border
A two line, thin border exists over the tympanum. At the stone's shoulders, the border goes in two directions. It hops over the shoulder and drops down the side and crosses the bottom and it squares it's shape and borders the outside of the tablet.
Remark
The tympanum has three design elements. The omnipresent arch over all is very decorated. The bottom line is serrated. A centerpiece shaped like a crown sits with a rounded version of the flame on top which breaks into the border space. Swinging inward from the upper border, abstract plant shapes accent the shape of the arch's "crown." The face is a transition from round to oval, but includes the advanced facial features (i.e. mouth with lips, eye with pupils, eyebrow to nose transition, cheeks, a chin and the hair combed straight down). The wings are tab-like but advanced with a more pointed terminus. There are markings to represent multiple feathers and a strong lead edge. The illustrated panels are on the side and bottom of the tablet. The engraved plants originate at the center of the bottom panel and rise upwards.
